A band of harpers is an awesome sight and have an even more awesome sound. With a large repertoire of traditional Irish and Scottish dance music, the 17th 18th century Irish harp repertoire and songs in both Irish and English, the Delaware Valley Celtic Harp Orchestra presents an exciting, varied program. The troupe is under the direction of Kathy DeAngelo, a well-respected performer, harper, teacher and harp-event organizer.

They are based in the greater Philadelphia region and perform at festivals, fund-raising events as well as weddings and other private engagements. Past performances include the Cumberland County Performing Arts Center, Philadelphia Ceili Group Irish Music and Dance Festival, Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission music series.

Depending on the event, the harp orchestra also has guest artists who perform with it on fiddle, flute, tinwhistle, guitar and they sometimes have a step dancer!
